Valentines Outfits but 1950’s
It’s believed that exchanging Valentines cards started in America sometime in the 1700’s and by the 1900’s cards were beginning to be mass produced. Early 1900’s cards are my favorite, they’re often a bit strange but very cute. The Valentines Day that we know today came about in the 20th century.
The 1950’s were the beginning of wide spread commercialization of holidays, and Valentines day was no different. Advertisements for things like chocolate were very common as seen here.
I personally love the 1950’s fashion, and I love Valentine’s Day. I adore the cute little decorations that people put up and the outfits people wear.
